Dr. Eveline Unruh

Eveline Unruh (born 1986) studied instrumental pedagogy with piano as her main subject at the Detmold University of Music.

After additional pedagogical, artistic and scientific specialisations in school music, elementary music education and musicology, she began doctoral studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Her dissertation on the topic "Intergenerational Learning in Music Education. Ein begriffstheoretischer Modellentwurf" she submitted to the Karlsruhe University of Music in 2023.

She worked in the field of cultural management as a project manager at the Federal Academy for Musical Youth Education in Trossingen, where she was responsible for various federal projects, further education and publications.
She also worked in the press and operations office of the HfM Karlsruhe and was also involved in journalism, e.g. in the cultural editorial department of a regional newspaper and for the Neue Musikzeitung (nmz).

Eveline Unruh has many years of teaching experience in and outside music schools with diverse target groups. This includes teaching in the tertiary education sector: lectures and further education for the Association of German Music Schools (VdM), the development and implementation of further education and university teaching with teaching assignments in the subjects of music education and musicology.

Since the winter semester 2023-24, she has held the professorship for music education at the HfM Karlsruhe together with Cornelia Wild.
