The guitar may be studied as a major instrument subject as part of the School Music course. The focus is on teaching the extensive solo repertoire from the 16th to the 21st century. In addition, the chamber music, song, and orchestral literatures - including Niccolo Paganini, Giuseppe Verdi, Kurt Weill, Arnold Schönberg, Leonard Bernstein, and musicals - are developed.
