Nikolaus Indlekofer is academic music director at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. He conducts the concert choir, the chamber choir and the philharmonic orchestra there. His duties as music director also include teaching choral conducting and ensemble conducting at the Karlsruhe University of Music.

He also received his training at the University of Music in Karlsruhe. He studied school music, violoncello and choral and orchestral conducting. His teachers were Prof. Annemarie Dengler, Prof. Martin Schmidt and GMD Erich Wächter. Courses with Wolfgang Seeliger, Wolf-Dieter Hauschild and John Eliot Gardiner complemented his conducting training.

Nikolaus Indlekofer conducts the symphony orchestra of the Ettlingen Music School and is active in the Badischer Chorverband as a member of the music committee and lecturer in choral conductor training.

Guest conducting engagements have brought him together with the Marburg Chamber Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra in Bielsko Biala, the Orchestra of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck and the Kammerphilharmonie Karlsruhe.

He has worked with renowned soloists such as Lise de la Salle, Boris Giltburg, Robert Benz and Jean Philippe Collard.
