On the last Saturday in June, our university goes into the city and brings music to the people. University and high school students and lecturers roam urban streets, courtyards and shops and transform Karlsruhe into a vast open-air concert hall.
Much is offered to visitors on this day: singers, instrumentalists of all kinds, and percussion athletes enliven the city center by playing classical, jazz, rock and pop music. Well-known ensembles, including the big band, horn ensemble and Samba Batucada troupe participate, as well as the Opera program ensemble. Songs and chansons, chamber music for strings and winds, and much more in all possible variants are on the bill. Music to go means abundant entertainment, and Karlsruhe sounds particularly beautiful on this day.
